Tactile Textile Collars: Collaborative workshop with Emily Notman
A collaborative workshop with Fran Buxton Mixed Media and Emily Notman.
Create your own textured textile collar!
Fran will demonstrate how to cut out and construct a simple collar pattern in a variety of styles- the perfect basis for Emily to mix dyeing and experimental “drawing” to create beautiful mark making patterns.
Drawing on surface pattern and texture as inspiration, Fran and Emily will then show you a range of hand stitch and free machine embroidery techniques to decorate and embellish your fabric before constructing your wonderfully tactile textile collar.
This workshop is running on 25th May 2019 at The Sanderson Room, Mountsorrel Memorial Centre, 105 Leicester Rd, Mountsorrel, Loughborough LE12 7DB.
